!!! ANNOUNCEMENT !!! As of Tuesday, Dec. 1st, we will no longer be playing on THURSDAY nights but we are switching to Sundays at 4 p.m. starting Sun. Dec. 6th.
Format/schedule of tournaments beginning Dec. 2015 (All are $10 buy-in):
- NO THURSDAY POKER BEGINNING IN DECEMBER, WE ARE SWITCHING TO SUNDAYS AT 4 P.M.
- 1st Tues of month: Normal freeze-out: 3500 starting stack; :25 min. blinds until 9pm, then :20 min. blinds;
- 2nd Tues of month: BOUNTY (OPTIONAL): 3500 starting stack; :25 min. blinds until 9pm, then :20 min. blinds; each bounty worth $5; Bounties paid upon elimination, remaining bounties paid when hit the # of places paid;
- 3rd Tues of month: Normal freeze-out: 3500 starting stack; :25 min. blinds until 9pm, then :20 min. blinds;
- 4th Tues of month: RE-BUY/ADD-ON: 4000 starting stack, :30 min blinds until 8:30pm (blinds start at 25/50); maximum of 2 re-buys ($10) if <=1000 until 8:30pm; optional add-on ($5) at 8:30; :20 min. blinds at 9pm. Usually two $10 food certificates given away on this night, random seat draw. High hand until 8pm.
- 5th Tues of month: Normal freeze-out: 3500 starting stack; :25 min. blinds until 9pm, then :20 min. blinds (Deuces wild 1st hand of night + 1st hand after break--cannot make a hand better than a normal poker hand ie. if you have pocket AA and board shows 3 deuces, your best hand is quad Aces. Does not qualify for bad beat jackpot.
- NEW!! SUNDAYS: 5000 starting stack 20 min. blinds; structure: 25/50, 50/100, 100/200 end rebuys (limit 2) + optional add-on
5 min.break / 200/400, 400/800, 800/1600 5 min.break for final table / 1500/3000, 3000/6000, 6000/12000, 12000/24000; Payouts (if sufficient # of players): 1st $50 net, 2nd $40 net, 3rd $30 net, etc. || OR 5000 starting stack with same format as 1st Tues. normal freeze-out (see above)

- specifics of earning points / end-of-year (EOY) tournament:
- Points are earned on a nightly basis using the following formula: IE. If 4 places paid, 1st place-4 points, 2nd place-3 points, 3rd place-2 points, 4th place-1 point. Points from both Tues and Thurs $10 non-charity tournaments are combined into one total for computing prizes. Charity events are NOT included in points computations.
- Funding for EOY tournament from $5 nightly pulled from Tues/Thurs prize pools, a max. of 91 days from Jan 2-end of November = $455 (91x5)
(Total funding from nightly Tu/Th tournaments adjustable downwards if charity events are held that eliminate nights from computations).
- EOY tourney set for Tues. Dec. 1st, 7PM. Top twenty annual points receive free entry into end of year tourney. All others pay $10. Format: freezeout, 2500 in chips. Blinds 25/25, 25/50, 50/100, 100/200, 200/400, 400/800, 800/1600, 1500/3000, 3000/6000, 6000/12K. :30 min blinds until 9pm, then :20 min blinds. Chip count at 11pm if not finished to determine places. Starting stack may be adjusted upwards at discretion of tourney director.
If starting stack is adjusted upwards from 2500, then blind levels may be shortened. Players must be at end of year tourney before 7pm or have called in (if going to be late) and then must arrive by 7:30 in order to participate.
- CASH Payouts in end of year tourney: 1st-$50, 2nd-$40, 3rd-$35, 4th-$30, 5th-$25, 6th-$20, 7th-$15, 8th-$10 (total of $225 paid out, $455-$225 = $230 left)
- Each of top twenty annual points earners receive a $10 gift certificate from Aimee's American Legion Kitchen good for one year.
USE IT OR LOSE IT! THE PURPOSE OF THESE "certificates" ARE TO plow $$ back into the Legion and support the kitchen area. ($230 - $200 (20 people x $10 each) = $30 left).
- Monthly prize of $5 gift certificate from Aimee's American Legion Kitchen awarded to top individual monthly points earner, good for one year. 11 months x $5 = $55. $30-$55 = -$25.
05:01:2015: Monthly prize upgraded to $10, the additional $5 to be taken from the last week of the month when re-buys and add-ons are permitted. So the previous -$25 calculation is still valid.
- CASH PLACES MAY BE PAID (if positive funding available as shown below) TO INDIVIDUALS BASED ON END OF YEAR POINT TOTALS.
$10 entry fees into EOY tournament put into individual prize pool awarded as follows: 1st up to $50., If first place does not use all remaining monies, then 2nd place awarded up to $40 of remaining monies. If 2nd place does not use all remaining monies, then 3rd place awarded up to $30 of remaining monies. Repeat for 4th $20, 5th - $10.
- All gift certificates are non-transferable and can include tips.
- In the event of a tie for POM or POY, players can either agree to split the amount 50/50, or, in the event they can't agree to split, each will draw one card from a deck under supervision of tourney director, high card wins, Aces are high.
- The above specifics / EOY Tournament are subject to modification/cancellation due to unforeseen circumstances. If monies have been collected, then will be "refunded" in regular Tu/Th tournaments.
